3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with trusted processors that help us run our business – hosting, email and CRM providers, analytics tools, our accountants and subcontractors who deliver the service – under written data processing agreements. If data is transferred outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or UK adequacy regulations.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries – up to 12 months after our last contact unless you become a customer;
- Customer records – for the duration of the contract and 6 years afterwards (limitation period);
- Marketing data – until you withdraw consent;
- Accounting records – 6 years as required by HMRC.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. See Your Data Rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
7. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Our services and prices
We provide lighting design, the supply of light fittings and lighting installation. Prices shown on the Site are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Information on the Site is an invitation to treat; a contract is formed when we confirm your booking or quote in writing.
Cancellations
If you are a consumer you may cancel within 14 days as described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Our responsibility to you
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 we will perform our services with reasonable care and skill. If something is not right, we will put it right or, where that is not possible, give you an appropriate price reduction.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses where you use the Site as a consumer.

Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. We may update these Terms from time to time; the version published on the Site applies.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer and booked with us at a distance (online, by phone or email), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being made without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If you ask us to start work within the cancellation period and then cancel, you will pay a proportionate amount for the service provided up to that point. You lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed at your express request.
How to cancel
Email info@oguiadaluz.com or write to 48 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1M 5PS, United Kingdom. You may use this wording: "I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the following service: [service], ordered on [date]. Name, address, date."
Refunds
We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the same payment method you used.
If something goes wrong
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if our service is not performed with reasonable care and skill you can ask us to repeat it or fix it free of charge, or, if that is not possible, receive a price reduction or refund. Please contact info@oguiadaluz.com with details and photos where possible.
Alternative dispute resolution
If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may contact Citizens Advice (0808 223 1133) for guidance, or take the matter to court.
Bespoke and made-to-order fittings
Fittings made or adapted to your specification are excluded from the 14-day right to cancel once production has begun, as permitted by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Standard stock fittings can be returned unused in their original packaging within 14 days of delivery.

We only send marketing emails, texts or calls to people who have opted in, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR. Messages are sent by O Guia da Luz Ltd, 48 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1M 5PS, United Kingdom.
- Channels: email and, if you gave your number and consent, SMS and phone.
- Frequency: usually no more than 1–2 messages per week.
- Unsubscribe from email: click "unsubscribe" in any email.
- Stop texts: reply STOP or email info@oguiadaluz.com.
- We never call numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) without your specific consent.
Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of using our services.
